We need your help, Federal Way!
Our School Outreach Coordinators each stock their offices with food for students who are hungry throughout the school day. So far this year, our School Outreach Coordinators have given out over 7,000 snacks to students who are hungry for a variety of reasons. Thanks to a grant from Walmart, we have been able to supply a majority of this food each month. However, not only are we seeing an ever-increasing need, we have expanded into more schools, which has stretched our budget for snacks.
Our food pantries at our 11 schools are bare and our funding is running low, so we are challenging the Federal Way community to help us meet this need to get us through the school year!
The following is a wishlist of the type of snacks we provide to help keep students focused on and ready to learn:
- Granola bars
- Individual crackers and chips (Cheez-It, gold fish, pretzels, animal crackers, etc)
- Cup of Noodle
- Individual microwaveable Macaroni and Cheese
- Individual trail mix
- Grocery store gift cards
To avoid risk, we ask that all snacks be in individual, factory sealed packages.
You can donate either by dropping off snacks at our administrative office (1825 S. 316th St. #101, Federal Way, WA 98003–inside the Woodstone Credit Union building), or by making a donation online, or by mail. If you choose to donate online, please specify that the donation is designated for snacks.
