Thanks to the Kent and Covington community, almost 2,300 pounds of school supplies were collected as part of Fill The Bus 2014. Last year approximately 750 pounds were collected, which impacted 350 students. We estimate that number will triple, or even quadruple, in the 2014-2015 school year with the addition of Kent-Meridan High School, Kentlake High School, and Cedar Heights Middle School receiving a Communities In Schools of Kent Site Coordinator. Communities In Schools of Kent is fortunate to be part of a community that is so very giving and generous, always willing to step up and provide for our students with the greatest need.

Thank you to the following businesses, churches, and service groups who took part in this year’s collection drive:

  • Walmart – Covington
