No One Eats Alone Day aims to foster a sense of belonging and community among students, encouraging them to invite peers to join them during lunch, engage in conversations, and break down social barriers.

Students were invited to respond to the following reflection questions:

  • How can you include someone at lunch?
  • How can you make a new friend?
  • Why is it important to make sure everyone has someone to eat with?
  • How can you start a conversation with someone?

“Students wrote their responses on purple sticky notes and added them to a banner that will be displayed in our cafeteria. It was an easy and fun activity for the students (I was impressed with their answers!)” -Chloe Stevens, Site Coordinator, Lakota Middle School
